Job summaryThe Maternity Trauma and Loss Care Service is a psychology-led service that joins psychology, specialist midwifery care and peer support to provide care and treatment to women and birthing people who have experienced birth trauma, perinatal loss and/or Tokophobia.The service aims to promote trauma-informed ways of working and empower women and birthing people during their maternity journeys. It is an innovative service in its fourth year of running and we are continuing to develop our care pathways and the support we offer to women and their families.The service is dedicated to reducing health inequalities and a part of this role will involve strengthening links with community organisations.The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.Main duties of the jobTo assist and support qualified psychology staff with daily tasks in the running of the Maternity Trauma and Loss Care Service M -TLCS.To support the team with triaging referrals into the service as well as supporting staff with collecting routine outcome measures. To receive regular clinical and management supervision in accordance with professional practice guidelines.2. To work in conjunction with colleagues to provide training in matters relating to the work of the MMHS to the relevant networks including maternity and health visiting.3. To work in conjunction with colleagues to write presentations to key stakeholders to promote the service and help convey the services aims.Clinical:1. To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings2. To design and compile material pertaining to the clinical interventions that the MTLCS will offer3. To support the co-production activity that is essential to the design and implementation of the service4. To support the clinical team with triage of referrals and initial screening and assisting with writing up notes and letters. Including observing and jointly conducting assessments with qualified clinicians.5. To hold a small caseload and deliver evidence based interventions.6.
