Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join the East of England System Coordination Teams as an 8b Improvement and Delivery Manager. The successful candidate for this role will be highly organised, proactive and results driven and looking for an opportunity to develop their skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.The System Coordination Teams are each aligned with an ICS in the East of England to ensure the development of sound working relationships and excellent knowledge of progress, challenges and risks.This role is an essential and integral post within the regional Operations Directorate will be covering a portfolio area which will include Elective Care, Urgent and Emergency Care, Diagnostic or Cancer performance. The portfolio area of focus will be determined on the individual team need and skill set of the successful applicant. This role will providing direct support to complex ICS systems through close working with ICBs and provider trusts to support the expected delivery in the portfolio areasMain duties of the jobKey aspects of the role are as follows:To work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service, supporting managers and staff, working alongside Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and Providers as part of a system, assuring system performance and deliveryThe post will specifically lead on a portfolio of work, facilitating the local understanding and delivery of nationally developed key performance indicators which will give assurance systems are delivering against agreed prioritiesTo work with NHSE staff, providers and commissioners in the commissioning and provision of high quality, safe, patient and client-centred services and partnerships with Local Authorities, service providers, patients and the public within the framework of the NHS ConstitutionSupport development of, and assure management of, operational and strategic plans within the region working closely with ICBs and providersManage and actively promote the relationships with key stakeholders across NHS England and System teamsTo monitor and oversee support and improvement delivery, tracking sustained delivery of quality outcomes and performance standardsAbout usIn April 2023, NHS England, NHS Digital, and Health Education England merged to create a new, single organisation to lead the NHS in England. Knowledge and experience working in one or more of the designated portfolio areas - Elective Care, Urgent and Emergency Care, Diagnostic and Cancer.2. Demonstrable experience of managing performance, planning and quality monitoring with ICBs and acute providers through management and improvement techniques.3. Demonstrable experience of NHS Operational Planning providing systems/providers with support and the subsequent reviewing of plans.4. Highly developed communication skills with the capability to analyse, review and make sense of highly complex, sensitive data or contentious information.5.
