If you are a qualified and registered Social Worker, with experience gained working with vulnerable adults, the elderly and people out in the community...this charity may well be the right place for you. What will you do? Provide a high-quality service out in the community, through support, advice and guidance to ex-miners and their families Work with individuals who may be experiencing issues around ill health, disabilities, financial or emotional struggles Support and report to the Senior Social Worker Provide Safeguarding support to the wider team Manage a caseload of service users with a variety of needs Spend time in the Mansfield office and out in the community on home visits Really make a difference to those living in some of the most disadvantaged communities in Wales What do you need? A Social Work degree and professional registration Experience working with vulnerable adults between 30 and 90 years old Have undertaken professional assessments, planning and intervention A good understanding of the issues faced by those living in deprived communities, and those of their carers Able to work in the office and out in the community between 9am and 5pm Experience working with older people, those with disabilities and ill physical and mental health Empathy, understanding and a desire to help others Access to your own transport is desirable Other Details Salary of £31,822 Permanent Contract 9am to 5pm working pattern - Monday to Friday This is an office and community-based role, no home working Healthcare, Eyecare and Dental Plan after 6 months' probation 29 days leave + bank holidays on top Excellent pension scheme with up to 10% contribution from the employer Free parking on-site Area: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire This role is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
