This role aligns against the Business Analyst role from the Government Digital and Data Framework. To help picture your life at MoJ Justice Digital please take a look at our blog and our Digital and Technology strategy 2025 Key Responsibilities: As a business analyst in Justice Digital, you’ll work within a multi-disciplinary product or service team, either independently or contributing to large scale transformations. At this level, you will: Undertake analysis to understand how a business area works, considering the people, organisation, processes, information, data and technology Identify and elaborate user and business needs to enable effective design, development and business change Ensure new products and services meet business and user needs, and are aligned with organisational goals Understand any business and policy constraints that need to be considered, and assess the implications Collaborate on prioritisation to agree minimum viable product and sprint features Identify areas for improvement, explore feasible options, analyse the effects of change and define success measures Manage stakeholder relationships and have a good understanding of your work area Contribute to the business analysis community including sharing best practice and mentoring others Take ownership for improving your own knowledge of business analysis and agile principles, methods and tools and play an active role within the BA community in sharing knowledge and supporting other members Benefits 37 hours per week and flexible working options including working from home, working part-time, job sharing, or working compressed hours. Person Specification We are interested in people who: Have experience of delivering business analysis as part of a digital team in an agile environment Can provide business analysis expertise to define and validate digital solutions, products and services, ensuring they are aligned to business goals Have strong communication skills that enable you to influence stakeholders, colleagues and engage with senior leaders Are a team player and enjoy working collaboratively with other professions as well as being able to work independently to deliver high end solutions Have an analytical mindset, capable of capturing, breaking down and simplifying information Have the ability to pivot and switch context quickly as priorities change Work collaboratively in a digital team to deliver positive outcomes Define and manage requirements effectively in an agile environment Use business analysis skills to successfully solve a problem Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for BPSS clearance The Civil Service is committed to attract, retain and invest in talent wherever it is found.
