Job summary Starting salary £24,625 pa. Require a committed individual to work within Therapies Administration. Responsible for supporting the SALT Head of Service and co-ordinating the SALT administration support on a daily basis. You will have previous clerical experience and excellent communication and organisational skills. It is essential that you have the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload and achieve deadlines. You must have evidence of a good standard of education with numeracy and literacy at minimum GCSE C/4 Grade or equivalent, and have audio-typing skills. Knowledge of email and Microsoft packages is essential. Knowledge of Meditech V6 is desirable. You will be able to adapt to different working areas in the Department and have a flexible approach. A knowledge and awareness of Data Protection & Information Governance guidelines is desirable, and you will be willing to undertake any necessary training in these to support the role. You will be responsible for managing SALT Head of Service diary, minute taking, collating information, dealing with queries, room booking etc. You must have excellent customer service skills always displaying a professional, calm, polite & helpful manner promoting the Trusts ethos and core behaviours of delivering excellence. Please visitGov.UKfor further information Main duties of the job The Therapies Administration team is a small team which supports all of the Therapy Services (Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry and Orthotics). The Team is responsible for providing Reception cover as well as other administrative tasks. This involves arriving all patients for their appointments, departing the patients and booking their follow-up appointment if required. Some of the administration tasks are dealing with the post, managing external correspondence, generating and sending out standard letters such as DNA letters, discharge letters etc. You will also be responsible for dealing with enquiries from Clerical and Secretarial staff, Medical and Nursing staff, other Trust personnel and general enquiries from patients and members of the public both face-to-face and over the phone. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily allocation of work to Clerical Officers.
