Apprentice Customer Service Assistant Job description An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the Housing Support and Accommodation Service as an Apprentice Customer Support Assistant. This is a two-year apprenticeship where you will study at Level 2 for Customer Service apprenticeship on a day release. It is desirable that candidates have the following at the point of application or be prepared to work to this during the apprenticeship: Maths (Grade 4) or Functional skills Level 2 English (Grade 4) or Functional skills Level 2 Earn & Learn You can expect to develop your skills, knowledge, and experience, enabling you to successfully complete your apprenticeship. These skills will equip you to undertake the full duties of the Job Description, to work as part of a team and support vulnerable single adults and families in their temporary accommodation. Upon completion of your apprenticeship you will earn a Grade 3 salary, starting at £24,584 annually, as of today’s rate of pay. All successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check. You will be required to work towards a Level 2 Customer Service qualification. We have four offices across the city plus a large portfolio of dispersed temporary accommodation. You will be expected to work from more than one site each week. Working as part of a team and with training in place, you will: Have an effective telephone manner. Provide a friendly in-person reception to customers. Gather and process customer information. Maintain office administrative systems. Liaise with internal and external partners Successful applicants must also have: Good numeracy and written skills An ability to use Microsoft IT and other relevant systems. You will be working towards: An ability to interpret and follow procedures, policies, and legislation.
