Job summary We are looking to recruit motivated, caring, compassionate individuals for the role of Apprentice Healthcare Support Workers. The Apprenticeship programme offers a full time 18 months fixed term contract which in most cases leads to a permanent position with Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. Applicants must be aged 18 or over on date of starting and have lived in the UK for 3 years prior to enrolment.Have a genuine interest in caring for people and be able to demonstrate this within the application. You MUST NOT hold a degree, level four qualification or above in a health-related subject. You must not have significant Healthcare Experience You will be required to undertake Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship Care Certificate BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Care Candidates must also hold English and Maths GCSE at grades 9 - 1 / A*- G or equivalent and be able to demonstrate thesequalifications at interview by presenting valid certificates. With out formal proof you will not be eligible to commence the apprenticeship. You will benefit from a comprehensive training programme with support in the workplace from the Vocational Trainers which will enhance your knowledge. We are recruiting to 2 Cohorts planned to start in September and November 2025. If successful at shortlisting, you'll be invited to selection event on Saturday 7th June 2025 and must be prepared to stay all day at this event.
