Job summary The post-holder will be employed by the Trust as an Apprentice in Operating Department Practice and undertake degree level study, demonstrating the Apprentice standard as set by the Institute for Apprenticeships (IFA) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards of proficiency. Upon completion of the degree level study, the apprentice will be eligible to apply to the HCPC and work under the protected title of Operating Department Practitioner (ODP). The apprenticeship will encompass teaching blocks at University and clinical placements (across the ULHT sites), the work-based learning will encompass anaesthetics', intra-operative and the post anaesthetic phases of care.
