Full Time | Permanent | Proposed Interview date Wednesday 11th June 2025 The post holder will be responsible for undertaking direct clinical care activities and admin duties in support of the audiology team. To assist qualified Audiology staff in the delivery of individualised care to children and their families with indirect supervision. Clinical Practice Undertake hearing aid workshop appointments, which include: Undertaking ear mould impressions, carrying out hearing aid repairs and maintenance including retubing, elbow and battery replacement. Effectively manage telephone and other enquiries. Test the hearing aid function and programme loan hearing aids when required. Send hearing aids for repair, and deal with the administrative process on their return. Prepare, package and send ear mould impressions to the manufacturer, in particular those being returned directly to the child from the manufacturer. Assist the qualified paediatric Audiology Team in patient and room preparation. Assist the qualified audiology team in clinical situations including tester 2 role in preschool clinic Management Advise clinical staff of items of stock which needs re-ordering. Be involved with health promotion. Assist with ensuring patient information is current. Policies and Procedures Adhere to professional standards e.g. BAA, BSA, NDCS etc. Keep up to date with current professional issues in paediatric audiology.
