Main duties of the job The Emergency Department Assistant's main duties include but are not inclusive to: Patient personal care including incontinence care, dressing, washing and oral care Nutritional support including assistant patients with meals Performing initial investigations such as venepuncture, cannulation and point of care testing Escorting patients to different departments for treatments/investigations within the hospital Transferring patients within the department, including patient handover Daily cleaning and stocking.
