Job Description To apply for this position click here Business Manager Various Primary Schools Salary: £37,626 - £44,257 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional) Hours: 18 per week, 40 weeks sessional Supporting one of various primary schools across the city. All posts will be based onsite and will include the following schools, however all sites with vacancies will be confirmed at interview - Blackhall Primary, Flora Stevenson's Primary, Granton Primary and Hermitage Park Primary. Candidates will be considered for all Primary Business Manager posts currently available with a single application and it will be possible for an applicant to be considered for two schools. Please specify in the application, if you wish to be considered for two schools. We are seeking dynamic, creative problem solvers to support each school onsite and work closely with the Head Teacher and other Senior Leadership Team members. The core role of a Business Manager is to support the Headteacher in all non-curricular aspects of school management, ensuring these aspects operate effectively, including Finance, HR, Information Governance, Resources, Facilities, Information Technology and Health and Safety and the successful candidate should have experience in these areas. An ability to identify and resolve a wide range of challenges to ensure operational efficiency across the school, will be key to this role. With a large staff team in each of our schools, the successful candidates will require strong leadership skills to support, guide and develop the individuals to work effectively together. The Business Manager will ensure the consistent monitoring and application of all HR employee processes and support the Head Teacher to plan, monitor and report on employee and resource budgets. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check.
