We are currently looking for an experienced EDS (Electrical Distribution Systems) Resource to join our client's engineering team. Our mission is to be the go-to recruitment partner for top-tier technical talent across the UK and Europe. Who Will You Work With: You'll be working with one of the most reputable engineering and machinery companies, known for their innovation in heavy equipment and off-highway vehicle design. This role is based at the client's Cheadle office in Staffordshire, where you'll collaborate with skilled electrical and design engineers to deliver cutting-edge harness and schematic solutions. About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled EDS professional with over 9 years of experience in electrical design and harness systems. You will be responsible for creating and improving CAD harness models, designing EDS schematics, and supporting the production of detailed, production-ready drawings. You'll also work closely with suppliers, test harness manufacturers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions. This is a 6-month B2B contract role with potential for extension. The position is fully onsite (no hybrid/remote option). Key Responsibilities: Create and continuously improve CAD harness models Design and update EDS schematics Support the manufacture of test harnesses Generate and release General Arrangement (GA) drawings on JCB ePIS Create detailed, production-intent drawings Liaise with suppliers as required Ensure compliance with over-current protection and load balancing standards Support electrical fault diagnosis and harness rework when needed Preferred Skills: 5 years of hands-on electrical design experience Strong background in EDS schematic architecture Proficiency in Zuken harness drawing tools 3D Harness CAD routing expertise Experience with NX harness modelling Knowledge of load balancing and over-current protection Electrical component specification Test harness manufacture and rework experience Strong diagnostic skills for electrical faults What We Offer: Opportunity to work with a globally recognized engineering brand Hands-on role contributing to complex electrical systems design Onsite collaboration with high-calibre engineering teams Contract Type: 6-month B2B engagement, extendable based on performance and project needs Interview Process: Typically involves one to two rounds of technical interviews, focusing on electrical design experience and tool proficiency.
