Main duties of the job To work as part of a team of nurses and health care assistants and be responsible for the assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating of nursing care. To offer safe care in accordance with up to date local and national guidelines.The emergency department look after a wide variety of patients with various illness and injuries from cardiac arrests, traumas, acutely unwell medical and surgical patients to minor injuries and illnesses.For newly qualified nurses our Emergency Department is an ideal environment to underpin and put into practice their knowledge and skills. For our nursing colleagues who already have some experience in acute nursing ED can provide an environment in which to develop.
