Job summary The Facilities Environmental Assistant will report to the Facilities Supervisor on their site of work. They will work in a collaborative and co-operative manner with the team of Facilities staff to promote and provide the services within Housekeeping, Catering and Portering. Experience of working in a Housekeeping/Catering/Portering Healthcare Service Knowledge Essential Must have a good knowledge of Health & Safety including COSSH, Safe Systems of Cleaning Tasks or to work towards on commencement Ability to follow procedures and manuals An understanding of operational techniques in delivering facilitoes services Must have good knowledge of food hygiene including temperature control and HACCP Desirable Must have a full knowledge of cleaning Skills/Personal qualitiies Essential Good communication skills, oral and written Able to deliver operationally, to multitask and work under pressure meeting consistently demanding deadlines Reliable, flexible, friendly, approachable Performance orientated /customer focused Computer literate Must be a good communicator, to mix with a variety of people.
