3387 - General Catering Assistant JOB VACANCY INTERNAL & EXTERNAL General Catering Assistant Permanent: 42 Weeks (Term Time) Full Time: 35 hours per week Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 8.45am - 4.45pm. Salary: Grade 1 Bar - £23,912 - £ 24,676 ( starting salary will commence at £23,912) Based within the College's Faculty of Leisure & Lifestyle, the successful candidate will work within a larger team and assist the Senior Catering Assistant in the provision of a quality support service for college staff, students and visitors within all kitchens, bakeries, restaurants, linen and ancillary areas. Your main role will be to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, within all areas relevant to the department. To apply for this position, you must have an elementary food hygiene certificate. You will ensure that a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained at all times, in accordance with current legislation and College protocols and procedures. You will have good interpersonal skills, a flexible approach to your duties with the ability to work well as part of a team. Additionally, you will be expected to comply with all health and safety legislation and safe systems of work, at all times. Experience of lifting and handling/manual handling techniques is also essential.
