Hull City Council is looking for an experienced, skilled, and enthusiastic person to join the Public Health Team. The post holder will be responsible for leading on specific projects, delivery plans and strategic service reviews, working closely with commissioners, service providers, service users and other stakeholders to improve health outcomes for Hull residents. The purpose of the role is to maintain an overview of performance, grant management and contract compliance, ensuring that data and intelligence is used strategically and directly informs decision making. This rewarding role will contribute to the continued development of the local alcohol and drugs strategy and alignment with national priorities with a strong focus on reducing drug and alcohol related harm. Experience of working systemically to plan and monitor quality services to meet performance targets and population needs is required. The post holder will work collaboratively with partners across the city to support the delivery of best possible outcomes for Hull residents. The role requires the post holder to assess local population needs, seek service users’ views, and review the service provision in the city. The post holder will monitor and evaluate outcomes to ensure continued efficiency and effectiveness of commissioned services. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong project management skills. A strong understanding of substance misuse issues will be advantageous.
