The Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated educator to join our team at the Gateway Campus, delivering Functional Skills English and Personal Development to learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and Social and Emotional needs. This role is pivotal in supporting students who may face barriers to learning, helping them build confidence, develop essential literacy and life skills, and achieve meaningful progress. You will create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes resilience, independence, and a love of learning, while working closely with support staff and external agencies to ensure each learner’s individual needs are met. Your Responsibilities Will Include: As Lecturer, you will play a key role in the delivery and development of inclusive, high-quality learning experiences. Your main responsibilities will include: Delivering engaging and accessible lessons in Functional Skills English and Personal Development tailored to SEND and EHCP learners. Supporting curriculum planning, delivery, and continuous improvement to meet individual and programme needs. Monitoring learner progress, engagement proactively to support success and progression. Using college systems effectively to track and support student achievement, including assessment, attendance, and reporting tools. Contributing to learner recruitment and transition through interviews, guidance, and events. Maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge and inclusive pedagogical practices. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to provide holistic learner support. Why Apply?
