At NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT), marketing is vital in transforming public attitudes to donation. Through engaging campaigns, we encourage more people to give the gift of life by registering as organ donors. In Wales, this is especially important as we reconnect people with donation following the opt-out law introduced 10 years ago. We need a talented Marketing Manager to lead activity in Wales. This standalone role offers high autonomy you'll own and deliver the regions marketing and communications strategy. With strong communication and influencing skills, you'll run campaigns, engage media, and represent NHSBT at events. There is no paid advertising budget, so creativity and collaboration are key. You'll work with NHSBTs national teams and be supported by regional specialist nurses. This is a rewarding part-time role (3 days/week) that changes lives. Main duties of the job In this role you will be responsible for engaging the public across Wales with organ donation. Your responsibilities will include: 1. Leading the marketing and communications activity in the Wales region working collaboratively with, and accountable to the Head of Organ Donation Marketing. 2. Developing, , co-ordinating and delivering NHS Blood and Transplants organ donation marketing strategy for Wales, in line with the national Organ Donation Marketing Strategy. 3. Building relationships with Wales media outlets, and Identifying and engaging with a range of partners, businesses and charities to support the promotion of organ donation in the region. 4. Developing and providing relevant and informative materials including articles, press releases and stakeholder packs; adapting by audience where necessary. 5. Managing the development, delivery and evaluation of campaigns and activity (in line with the GCS Evaluation Framework), making regular changes when required. Willingness and flexibility to work irregular hours and to travel throughout Wales, including overnight stays when required (with appropriate prior notice).
