Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Technologist to join the Computing section of the Clinical Engineering Department at University Hospitals of Leicester. The role involves management and administration of the Trust medical equipment inventory, and specialist software. The post holder will also play a key role in implementing and supporting the implementation of connected devices and technology across the Trust and community. The role will be based at Leicester Royal Infirmary and involve working on our other hospital sites. Applicants must be qualified to Degree/HNC level, or equivalent, in Electronics or Computing. With demonstrable experience in the use of IT in an engineering or healthcare environment, the post holder will understand the principals of database administration, device networking and integration. Technical update training is available. You will have a safety conscious approach to your work and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels. An ability to cope underpressure, be adaptable and multi-task is required.Experience of the maintenance and repair of medical equipment would be desirable.
