Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join our Medical Secretary team. You will be working as part of a team providing high quality audio typing for the department. You will be a conscientious and enthusiastic team player with excellent audio typing skills, good organisational and communication skills with a sound typing background. You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues, be well motivated and reliable. You will be able to understand and accurately convey verbal and written information and be able to remain calm under pressure. The ability to manage your time and prioritise your workload whilst remaining patient focused is essential. You will be responsible for the audio typing of clinical correspondence within specified timescales. You will need to be a fast and accurate audio typist with knowledge of medical terminology. You will also be able to prioritise your workload with constantly changing demands to meet agreed deadlines. You will be able to use your own initiative and respond to queries appropriately.
