The role The Object Conservator (Natural Sciences) will join a dedicated team of conservation professionals responsible for the care & preservation of the 1.4 million objects we hold, including our Natural Science collections - broadly categorised as: Geology: a wide range of minerals, fossils & rock specimens. Botany: primarily dry collections of pressed plant specimens mounted in herbarium sheets & also seaweeds; seeds; bryophytes, lichens & fungi. Zoology: taxidermy, skeletal material, insects and other Crustacea, molluscs, & other invertebrates. They will work collaboratively with colleagues across all collection areas, especially the natural science curators, as well as throughout the wider organization.
