Job summary This role is an exciting opportunity to join our team within the Havant & Waterlooville PCN who are collectively responsible for delivering high quality patient services to 68000 patients. Pharmacy technicians play an important role in complementing clinical pharmacists and other members of the PCN team as well as staff within each practice and external organisations. The purpose of the role is to improve patient care by implementing best practices and maximising prescribing safety. The post holder will help patients get the most from their medicines, improve repeat prescribing processes, lead and promote repeat dispensing/online ordering as well as aiming to reduce medicine waste, as well as assisting the four practices across the PCN with on the-day queries. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for developing the understanding of medicines optimisation throughout the practice teams. This will involve assisting the PCN in achieving national requirements, NICE implementation and the utilisation of medicines optimisation initiatives. As well as the PCN national requirements you will assist all of the PCN practices four with their practice-based needs, assisting practice prescribing teams with inquiries.
