We are seeking to appoint a Project and Minor Works Manager to lead and deliver on our ever-growing programme of improvement and maintenance works. The post holder will plan, drive and deliver projects including building alterations and improvements, refurbishments and new build capital projects, working in conjunction with the Director of Estates and externally appointed consultants as applicable. On larger projects, working closely with the Bursar, the school employs the required project team, led by the post holder with support from the Director of Estates. Regarding smaller projects, the school would decide the level of external resource including consultants, designers and trades required, or plan to undertake the works in-house. Contractors are used by the Estates Department for projects, inspections and planned maintenance undertakings and subject to suitable checks and management techniques, whilst their services are to be ratified as good value. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of all forms of building contracts, services and processes together with proven experience in managing programmes to budget and time.
