About the Role We are seeking a proactive and experienced Quality & HSE Manager to lead our quality systems, engineering standards, and health and safety practices. This role is vital in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards while embedding strong business processes and supporting strategic goals. You’ll work cross-functionally to embed quality into product development and operations, drive performance metrics across R&D, and manage key accreditations including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. You will also lead Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives to foster a safe, compliant, and sustainable working environment. Key Responsibilities Lead engineering standards, product quality systems, and testing protocols across the business Ensure products meet high-quality benchmarks throughout the product lifecycle Investigate quality issues and drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement Monitor industry trends and technical standards to identify risks and opportunities Develop and implement best-practice quality processes and engineering policies Oversee quality-related deliverables in R&D and support project execution Contribute to engineering strategy, long-term planning, and budgeting Manage ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditations, including audits and maintenance of the Quality Manual Lead Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives in line with legislative requirements (e.g. COSHH, RIDDOR) Conduct or oversee risk assessments, audits, and HSE training Promote environmental sustainability through practical strategies and process improvements Maintain accurate documentation and systems to ensure audit readiness and operational effectiveness Requirements & Skills Proven experience in quality management, ideally with electrical or scientific products Familiarity with engineering standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g. CE, UKCA) Experience managing ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems Background in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably industrial electronics or refrigeration Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Degree in Engineering or Science preferred; equivalent experience also considered Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus Why Join Us?
