Job summary The post is that of a Staff Nurse and the post holder will be expected to undertake duties in a Ward/Department in either Acute Medical/Surgical Wards, and in Community Hospitals. The post holder will carry out a range of assigned tasks involving direct and indirect care for the benefit of the patient/client in accordance with agreed protocols. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are observed, and meet Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB requirements, as well as NMC Standards and Codes of Conduct. Main duties of the job We are looking for dynamic, forward thinking and committed nurses to join our dedicated teams. The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high quality person centred care. Ward 11 POW (Currently Ward 18 RGH) specialise in Female surgery Gynae, Colorectal, Upper GI, Lower GI & Urology and ENT, for both emergency and elective admissions. The Surgical Unit is a multi- faceted, dynamic environment with a high patient flow, providing an exciting environment for your development and lifelong learning. In house training is provided including our Surgical Study Day. All appointments to the General Surgical Unit are rotational between the areas.
