Job summary Colchester Hospital are looking for dynamic, motivated and experienced nurses with acute hospital experience to join our Surgical Assessment Unit. Registered nurses are a key part of our ward teams and support the senior team in providing high quality care. This is an excellent opportunity to join our friendly and busy teams who are motivated in promoting the delivery of a patient-centred, clinically effective and dynamic service to our patients undergoing a surgical procedure. The Surgical Assessment Ward consists of an assessment unit and ward area with an assessment room and short stay surgical inpatient beds.This is an exciting time to join as the surgical assessment unit is currently undergoing a refurbishment. Main duties of the job The ward works very closely with many members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that we are equipped to meet our patient's needs. You will undertake patient assessment to determine patient need, plan and implement their care. It is therefore essential you can demonstrate a commitment to effective team working and have excellent communication skills.
