Job summary A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen foran Experienced Registered Children's Nurse to join our dynamic, forward thinking and motivated team in the Children's Emergency Department. With this in mind, we would like to welcome registered nurses to compliment the established team CED in delivering high quality care to all our patients. Main duties of the job The role involves working as part of a nursing and medical team to provide urgent and emergency care to babies and children within CED at Royal Derby Hospital. You will be responsible for triaging and prioritising babies and children's medical needs as well as streaming them to alternative services and pathways. You will plan, implement and evaluate holistic, individualised patient care in a safe and caring environment in the most efficient and clinically effective way whilst acting asthe patient's advocate and maintaining privacy and dignity. Last year we undertook almost 33,700 planned surgical operations in our 57 operating theatres. We are one of only 7 Trusts nationally with more than 50 operating theatres. We carry out more than 140 elective procedures each working day.
