Vacancy Information Hourly rate of pay: £15.52 - £16.58 Post 1 - Temporary for 12 months. Days and Hours of Work: Monday - Friday Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible. To start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be part of Team delivering an efficient and effective Rent Income service to all Council tenants in East Lothian. The successful candidate will help the team minimise Rent arrears, and maximise income, to ensure the Council has the finances to deliver quality Housing services. Initially, the successful candidate will be tasked with reviewing and managing Homeless Former Tenant debt. Post 2 - Temporary secondment cover until 31st March 2026. Days and Hours of Work: Monday - Friday Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible. To start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will cover an internal secondment for approximately nine months, and be part of Team delivering an efficient and effective Rent Income service to all Council tenants in East Lothian. The successful candidate will help the team minimise Rent arrears, and maximise income, to ensure the Council has the finances to deliver quality Housing services. An opportunity has arisen for a 2 Rent Income Advisers to work within our Revenues Service based at John Muir House, Haddington. As well as being educated to a minimum of SVQ Level 2 or equivalent, and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant working experience, the successful candidates must be able to illustrate experience of working in a customer-focused environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent negotiation and organisational skills.
