Job summary This role involves providing on-call psychiatric services for a new 42-bed mental health service in Clacton-on-Sea, England. The successful candidate will be a GMC-registered psychiatry doctor with experience working in a multi-disciplinary team, and will provide care and treatment for individuals affected by mental health disorders, including trauma, acute mental illness, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, and dual diagnosis. Service users could be suffering from Acute mental illness, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Personality Disorder, Dual diagnosis, Self-harm, Substance misuse issues. The RMO Doctor role involves: Review the mental state and physical health of service users. Ensure adequate handover to colleagues. Take a lead with managing any physical health concerns that emerge during inpatient stay. Seek collateral history from other professionals and family. Complete admission assessments in a timely manner. Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that patients have access to appropriate medical treatment at all times, including referral to the local A&E Department if required. Attend monthly clinical and managerial supervision sessions.
