About The Team We Are Recruiting To As a member of the School's Leadership Team, to ensure the provision of efficient and effective support services throughout the school taking a lead in the strategic planning, organisation and delivery of financial and budgetary management, human resources, site and administration management. What is the job role? The Headteacher and Governors are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and forward-thinking professional to join our senior leadership team as the School’s Business Manager. This is a key leadership role in our exciting and innovative primary school and you will need to have a proven track record working as a school business manager and leading a number of school teams. Key Duties include: A strategic leadership role as a member of the School’s senior leadership team Responsibility for the School’s finances Oversee management of the premises Lead on Health and Safety Lead HR practice and policy In addition, you will lead a team of non-teaching support staff, acting as the Line Manager for the Office team, the School’s Site Services Manager and lunchtime staff. Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone who: Is a strategic thinker, who leads by example – setting high standards for themselves and others Is truly passionate about making a difference to the life chances of our children Has a strong and successful educational background working at Leadership level Works on their own initiative and is calm in a busy working environment Is appropriately qualified in School Business Management, administration, management, finance or HR Can demonstrate an ongoing commitment to their professional development Has a comprehensive understanding of IT systems Has a deep understanding of customer service and sees parents as partners in education Wants to affect change Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
