Make a Real Impact: As our new Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of financial management services across all our sites. Reporting directly to the Group Director of Finance, you will be instrumental in the preparation of crucial financial documents, including management accounts, financial accounts, the annual budget, and regular re-forecasts. This is a chance to make a tangible difference to our financial operations and contribute to the success of the group. What You'll Do: • Leading relevant financial functions and providing expert guidance on financial standards. • Contributing to the development of a financial enabling strategy aligned with the Group's overarching goals. • Preparing the annual Group financial plan and providing regular forecast updates. • Producing the Group's annual financial accounts in line with regulatory and audit requirements. • Developing insightful financial modelling, budgets, management accounts, and performance reports. • Creating and enhancing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reporting, cash flow analytics, and financial statistics. • Designing financial dashboards for Governors and senior leaders, highlighting key performance indicators and risk areas. • Managing cash flow and expenditure control systems to ensure financial stability and maximise income. • Undertaking detailed cash forecasting and managing Group cash investments. • Leading financial and purchasing system development and optimization. • Overseeing the workload and supporting the development of the Assistant Management Accountant and Purchase Team Lead. • Ensuring the accuracy of the interactive budgeting system and providing training to users. • Providing guidance and support to the wider finance team and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and procedures. What You'll Bring: ● Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths ● Degree or management qualification ● Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA or similar accredited practitioners’ certificate(s) ● Recent experience of working with a finance role ● Experience of preparing monthly and annual accounts ● Experience of preparing and monitoring cash flow forecasts ● Leading teams, motivating and developing staff ● Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate information to colleagues at all levels ● A proactive and results-oriented approach Ready to take the next step in your finance career?
