Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Fellow in the department of Anaesthetics. Our department has a diverse blend of 25 consultants with a wealth of experience that lends itself to providing first class care and a unique training experience. Main duties of the job You will contribute to regular day time activity across specialties and to resident on call duties. Resident on-call duties are on a 1:8 rota with prospective cover and will cover either general or obstetric anaesthesia services, or ICU. These hours are 08:00-18:00, 08:00-20:30 and 20:00-08:30. There are three tiers of resident anaesthetic and intensive care cover within the hospital who work as a team to provide out of hour cover with non-resident consultant support. Elective activity will include supervised elective lists and/or ICU. You will be an active member of the hospital medical emergencies team. You will undertake intra- and inter-hospital critical care transfers. It is expected that you will engage with clinical governance by taking part in regular departmental meetings, and proactively undertaking audit and quality improvement projects. It is expected that you will familiarise yourself with and adhere to the Trust's policies on Clinical Governance, Confidentiality and Infection Control.
