Job summary We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Radiographer to undertake Mammographic Breast Imaging for both Screening and Symptomatic services across our two sites, Royal Derby Hospital (RDH) and Queens Hospital Burton (QHB). We are a progressive forward thinking department with a positive approach at meeting and delivering the current challenges of the NHS. We have a Radiographic team comprising of Radiographers and Assistant Practitioners that provide symptomatic clinics and a screening service as part of the NBSS (National Breast Screening Service) covering Southern Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire. The department includes services at the Royal Derby Hospital, Queens Hospital Burton, screening at London Road Community Hospital as well as screening at satellite community sites based in health centres and community hospitals across Southern Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire. We are looking for a hard-working radiographer with a focus on patient care and high quality to join our team. You will be expected to take part in screening and symptomatic work, be prepared to go out to screening sites. You will be an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team; you will be able to display excellent interpersonal skills with a caring patient centred and flexible approach to work. Will also consider development role at a band 5 leading to band 6 upon qualifying. Main duties of the job Applicants must have DCR or Degree in Radiography and be HCPC Registered. Experience working within the NHS is essential. Due to the nature of the role there is an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010 that this position is restricted to female applicants only.
