The role is based within Environmental Markets and Regulation team. We’re a national team with Officers based across England. As a wider department we ensure that companies are disposing of their waste correctly by enforcing government regulations – ‘right waste, right place’, a process reliant on our Digital systems. As Digital Product Manager, you will: Work alongside the Service Owner and other Digital Product Managers to support, maintain, develop and continuously improve business critical Digital Services and IT solutions for our Regulatory teams. Work closely with inhouse and third-party IT suppliers on maintenance and development into the services Manage and resolve support calls Work agile in a digital project management environment Lead in the development and continuous improvement of processes and procedures Work in collaboration with the wider business to understand the strategic future of our services, and development requirements within our Digital systems to enable operational Digital and reporting needs Communicate the benefits and performance of the services Responding to incidents is a central part of what the Environment Agency does, and you can be part of that response, either directly or through business continuity support. The team Environmental Markets and Regulation is a supportive and inclusive department, encouraging our teams’ health, safety, wellbeing, and development. This team manage digital products for Producer Responsibility, Collections Packaging Regimes and Waste Shipments teams. Our collective aim being to improve the quality of recycling and ensure waste entering and leaving the country is handled appropriately for recycling and recovery. We help to protect and improve the environment by regulating industry, ensuring compliance, and eliminating illegal activities. Experience/skills Required We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate: Excellent customer service skills, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders Ability to identify stakeholders’ digital needs and delivering a solution Excellent communication skills, able to convey Digital terms and information into plain English Managing multiple digital projects and/or tasks with conflicting deadlines Experience of working in agile environments Data and information management, with sound attention to detail Enthusiastic about working collaboratively towards common goals Be bold, be brave and think innovatively Knowledge and/or experience of working with Power Platform apps Managing and resolving digital user queries Everyone starting in a new role with the Environment Agency will be welcomed into the team and given all the training and support you need to succeed.
