Job summary The role of the 8a Service Manager (Health Protection ), is a key member of the CTMUHB Health Protection Operational Team, within the Primary and Community Care Group. It also has a key role working with the health Protection team of Public Health as part of the wider Health Protection Service under the Director of Public Health. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply Main duties of the job The post holder will lead a team to take forward the development of initiatives to deliver the NIF (National Immunisation Framework), as well the operational delivery of key health protection initiatives, including a range of vaccinations and immunisations. You will need to be a confident communicator with colleagues and stakeholders alike as the post will require you to work with other teams across the University Health Board as well as externally with Local Authority and Primary Care contractors to be able to deliver the agenda. You will be a key member of the Health Protection Operational Team and will be expected to work closely with the senior management team, to develop and implement the: CTM UHB Health Protection Strategy, the National Immunisation Framework the Integrated Medium Term Plan and operational strategies, ensuring that systems and processes are in place to comply with relevant legislation and governance requirements, as well as achieving the targets set out in these strategies and plans. . You will contribute with the senior management team to ensure operational plans and performance are closely managed, providing solutions to resolve difficult operational issues.
