EPUT is seeking a skilled and motivated Specialty Doctor in Adult Inpatient to join our Adult Inpatient team in Gosfield ward, based at the Lakes Mental Health unit, Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality psychiatric care to patients admitted to the ward. The Lakes Mental Health Unit has 2 in-patient units. Gosfield Ward which is an all-male patient unit since August 2015. The other unit is Ardleigh which is a female ward. Each ward has 18 in-patient beds. The wards are refurbished with modern interiors, have attached excellent gardens, and are fully equipped. Each has its own LTS and seclusion facilities. There is also a 136-assessment suite working as a designated place of safety on this site. Main duties of the job You should be eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold Section 12 (2) approval under the Mental Health Act 1983. You will also need to provide evidence of achievement of ST1/CT1 competences in psychiatry at time of application and likelihood of achieving CT2 competences in psychiatry by the start date of the post.
