Job summary Staff Nurse Department Cardiac Catheter Lab Band 5 £29,970-£36,483 per annum Hours 37.5 hours per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working An exciting opportunity has become available to work in the Cardiac catheter Lab at Milton Keynes University Hospital. The unit includes a 6 bedded day unit which runs morning and afternoon lists for both inpatients and outpatients. Time management, prioritization and delegation skills are essential. Excellent communication skills are paramount as you will be liaising with a wide range of departments and members of the multidisciplinary team from within the Trust. Experience in caring for cardiology patients is desirable. The unit is a fast paced and exciting area to work in, as a staff nurse you will be involved in assisting for procedures such as Angiograms, Angioplasty, Pacemaker insertions, Direct Current Cardioversions (DCCV) and many other procedures. On joining the team, you will attend a week long Trust Induction program followed by 4 weeks working alongside an existing team member, in a supernumerary capacity. During this period, you will also have the opportunity to spend time with some of the Cardiac nurse specialists, the cardiac physiologists as well as going to the CCU/ cardiology ward.
