Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Team Leader within our busy MSK Outpatient Gym. The successful candidate would be made responsible for their own varied clinical caseload, the clinical management of patients within this team and the strategic planning and daily running of this service. Working alongside another Team Leader and supported by a Superintendent, they would be responsible for the management of senior staff and junior staff within MSK Outpatients. The successful candidate should have significant experience in treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions but more particularly lower limb as well as relevant managerial experience. Referrals are received from a variety of sources: GPs, Orthopaedics, Pain Clinic, Rheumatology, Oncology, Maxillo-Facial and ENT Consultants. This includes trauma and elective post-operative patients from Orthopaedic wards, A&E and Fracture Clinic. We have excellent working relationships with our Consultants and Multi-disciplinary Teams. The Physiotherapy Outpatient Department offers a 6 day service. The successful candidates will be expected to be part of the Outpatient Saturday rota. In order to suit the needs of the local population we also offer early morning and early evening appointments. The Department has a strong commitment to training and CPD. We pride ourselves on our patient satisfaction and consistently score 90% and above for patients who would recommend our service, via the Friends and Family Test. Main duties of the job To provide physiotherapy to relevant patients within MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy. May also be required to lead the Phototherapy service.
