About us An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Team Manager position within the specialist teams service. The service provides a social work service to individuals with a diverse range of needs including Physical Disability, Mental Health, Learning Disability, Acquired Brain Injury and those who are Neurodiverse . The Specialist Teams service has four operational social work teams. · 2 x Mental Health teams · 1 x Learning Disability team · 1 x Sensory, Physical and Neurological team (Neurodiversity, Physical Disability, Acquired Brain Injury and Sensory needs). The role The role of team manager is responsible for overseeing the management and leadership of the Senior Practitioner, Social Workers, and Community Care Workers within the team, as well as supporting with the ongoing development of the team, working closely with the other Team Managers as well as the Service Manager. Substantial experience working within a community setting Experience of assessing and support planning for adults with complex care and support needs Experience of person-centred assessments and self directed support and risk management Experience of working with adults with mental health needs Experience of working autonomously and under pressure Experience of staff and/or student supervision and staff development Strong leadership skills Self-motivated and flexible with ability to use own initiative Good organisational skills with ability to prioritise and work to deadlines Positive approach to managing stress and the ability to work under pressure Able to analyse and interpret data Ability to use IT and present information Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with team members, service users, carers and colleagues within the department and with other agencies Ability to prioritise and organise work load to meet targets and respond to unforeseen events Supervisory and mentoring skills Performance management skills Benefits As well as a competitive salary, working for us means you get: 26 days annual holiday - raising to 31 after 5 years of service (pro-rata) Access to our attractive and competitive benefits package Access to our Health & Wellbeing Programme Key Dates & Further Information Interviews will be held week commencing Monday 9 June 2025 The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
