Your Role and Impact Working closely with the Chief Finance Officer, you will help shape and lead a comprehensive, trust-wide HR function. This includes supporting strategic change, embedding effective HR practices, and delivering initiatives that attract, develop, and retain outstanding people. As HR & OD Business Partner , you will: Lead the design and delivery of high-impact People and Culture strategies. Build strong relationships across schools, central teams, and union partners. Provide expert advice on complex HR matters, including employee relations, change management, and succession planning. Ensure our HR service is responsive, future-focused, and aligned with Trust priorities. Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding through to retention and development. Take a proactive lead on HR projects, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a pivotal leadership role that combines both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery. You'll support school leaders in making sound, evidence-informed decisions and help embed a culture of collaboration, care, and excellence. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is: A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Calm, organised, and solutions-focused, with a proactive mindset and a strong sense of purpose. Experienced in both strategic and operational HR leadership, ideally within an education or public-sector setting. Skilled in employment legislation, employee relations, and project management. Passionate about building positive cultures and capable of working both independently and as part of a wider leadership team.
