The Growth Company (GC) Education and Skills team is offering an exciting opportunity for a Vocational Tutor to design, deliver, and assess engaging training programs that enhance student learning and achievement. Please note that this is a fixed contract covering maternity leave until 30 June 2026 and is based at our Salford Training centre. Key Responsibilities: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to ensure learners are enrolled in the appropriate programme and receive tailored support. Plan and design effective training programmes, including schemes of work and lesson plans, with differentiated instruction to meet individual learner needs. Deliver engaging, high-quality training sessions that motivate learners to attend regularly, remain on track, and achieve their goals. Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times, including managing safe evacuations during emergencies in line with company procedures. Prepare learners for assessments, assignments, and exams to support high achievement and maintain strong success rates. Assess and mark learners’ work, provide constructive feedback, and set clear development objectives to support continuous improvement. (For HE Tutors) Serve as Programme Leader for designated awards, overseeing admissions, tutor coordination, exam board representation, mark submissions, and programme evaluation. About you: Proficient IT skills with the ability to effectively integrate technology into learning delivery. Inspires and motivates learners through a positive and engaging approach. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in meeting diverse learner and programme needs. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to support effective teaching and collaboration. Excellent planning and organisational abilities to manage workload and meet deadlines. Holds relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., PGCE, PGDE, Cert Ed, DTLLS) and subject specialisms where required. Skills Required: Proven industry experience within a relevant specialist area. Solid understanding of teaching and learning quality standards, including familiarity with Ofsted requirements. Minimum of 1–2 years’ teaching experience in a relevant educational setting. Experience supporting learners with special educational needs (e.g., LLDD) and managing challenging behaviour, where applicable. Up-to-date knowledge of subject-specific content and relevant professional qualifications. Possession of a recognised teaching qualification. Awareness of health and safety responsibilities, including emergency evacuation procedures.
