Job Overview Band 5 Staff Nurse Wexham Park Hospital Christiansen Medical Unit Are you a compassionate and motivated nurse looking for an exciting opportunity in general medicine? We are seeking Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our 16-18 bedded male medical ward, which provides high-quality care for patients with a range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Our ward admits patients directly from the Emergency Department (ED) and other acute pathways, ensuring timely assessment, treatment, and ongoing care. We also focus on discharge planning, ensuring safe and effective transitions for patients. Main duties of the job As a Band 5 Staff Nurse, You Will             Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to acutely unwell patients.             Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, ensuring individualised treatment for each patient.             Support safe and efficient discharge planning, working closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and discharge coordinators.             Administer medications safely and effectively, in accordance with hospital protocols.             Monitor and respond to deteriorating patients, escalating concerns as appropriate.             Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.             Work collaboratively with colleagues, supporting junior staff, students, and healthcare assistants.             Contribute to infection prevention, hygiene standards, and initiatives to improve patient experience on the ward Working for our organisation Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is committed to being an inclusive and disability confident employer and has been awarded the Gold for the Armed Forces Employment Recognition Scheme.
