Job summaryWe are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic, ambitious and motivated dietician. As a qualified dietician, you will provide high quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care to young people and their families referred to the Tri-borough CAMHS Eating Disorder ServiceThe successful candidate will be responsible for offering intensive, individualised dietetic support to young people and their families, and will provide multidisciplinary assessments and interventions to young people in their homes, on the paediatric wards and other community contexts;They will be required to work patiently and supportively with young people and their families to recover from the challenges presented by eating disorders. There will be opportunities for joint work with multi-disciplinary colleagues both within the team and in broader services.The successful candidate will work alongside our senior specialist Eating Disorders Dietician and be part of the flourishing Physical Health Allied Health Professions (AHP) Team. They will work independently and hold their caseload. They will receive clinical support from our senior specialist ED Dietician and will be expected to attend regular clinical supervision. There will also be opportunities for appraisal, involvement in quality improvement projects and training.Main duties of the jobDuties Providing evidence-based Dietetic service for CAMHS Eating Disorders team with particular caseloads in the Intensive Community Treatment Pathway.Provide high standard screening, assessment, formulation and treatment plan, for new referrals. Setting up appropriate and comprehensive co-produced care plans to support the client and their family through their recovery.To develop and implement meal plans and provide advice to young people and parents/carers on risks of eating disorders, a variety of dietetic needs and a range of mental health conditions.Work compassionately with young people and their parents/ carers to achieve recovery from eating disorders.To Undertake complex dietetic assessments and develop complex dietary intervention plans e.g. formulating enteral feeding regimes for service users at risk of re-feeding syndrome.To take responsibility for ensuring that the highest professional standards and attitudes towards the care of service users and their carers are maintained at all times and that care is delivered in accordance with evidence-based practice by all members of the team.About usWest London NHS Trust is one of the most diverse healthcare providers in the UK, delivering a range of mental health and physical healthcare and community services.
