Job summaryAn opportunity has arisen at University College London Hospital for the post of Consultant in the Post COVID service which would be suitable for an doctor dual accredited in GIM and a medical speciality.This is a 12 month fixed term position.The mulitprofessional and interdisciplinary post covid service sits integrally within the respiratory department and also includes team members from cardiology, neurology and infectious diseases departments.We are looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful individual interested providing holistic care for post covid syndrome/ long covid to join our well-established and dedicated team.CV required with application.Main duties of the jobWe have an established Integrated pathway with four community post covid rehabilitation services in North Central London who deliver multifaceted rehab and psychology input to patients with Long COVID. We are overseen by the ICB and regional post covid programme groups.The post holder will be committed to high quality patient care and developing innovative service models and as we are a teaching hospital and have close links to UCL will have a strong interest in teaching, training and research.The appointee will provide input to the outpatient post covid service, with a combination of in-person and virtual clinics, the community MDT meetings and interdisciplinary MDT meetings. A particular focus in strengthening the vocational rehabilitation support for indiviudals with Long COVID would be welcomed in this post.
