As the first member of staff that a patient will encounter their journey of patient centred care starts with you.We currently have 2 positions available:22 hours per week over 4 days, and 27.5 hours over 5 dayShift patterns are a mixture of 07:45 - 13:15 and 13:00 - 18:30Main duties of the jobFirst and foremost it is vital that patients receive a warm, friendly, courteous and efficient service at all times and we expect all prospective candidates to exemplify these characteristics.The role of the Medical Receptionist is varied and undeniably challenging yet fulfilling. Our receptionists undertake a wide variety of duties which reach far beyond the booking of appointments. Navigate patients to the appropriate care service.Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the Practice teamFacilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agenciesDuties and Responsibilities:The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the Practice Reception team may include any or all of the items in the following list. Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Receptionist Team Leader, dependent on current and evolving Practice workload and staffing levels.
