We are looking for a Patient Administrator to join our busy Skegness team, working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. Our Administration team are a key part of the success of our Practice. Working with our Clinicians and Managers to provide a professional service and invaluable support to meet the needs of our Patients and Practice colleagues. This role is wide ranging and requires completion of a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: •Receiving telephone calls include appointments, telephone advice or home visits •Providing initial contact for your GP’s/CP’s/Registrar’s, incoming telephone calls and queries •Actioning of tasks/notifications/results/hospital letters as directed by GPs/CP’s/ Registrar’s •Typing of referral letters, coroners reports, medical reports, support if required with complaint responses (in absence of Complaints Assistant) •Requesting of sickness certificates •Arranging terminations, completing relevant documentation and making referral •Arranging death certificates, cremation forms, coroners referrals •Contacting patients and outside agencies as requested by GP’s/CP’s/ Registrar’s •Processing letters and referrals •Providing patients with a summary of results (as required) following investigation(s). Liaising with appropriate clinician(s) to contact patient to discuss levels of results or specific diagnosis etc. as necessary •Covering for other colleagues when on annual leave or sickness leave •Supporting colleagues within team with higher level(s) of workload, as able •Attending/completing courses relevant to the post and keeping up to date with all required training •Chaperoning of patients if requested by GP’s/CP’s/ Registrar’s, when trained to do so •Referrals/E-referrals •To attend any relevant meetings as requested and minute take at any meetings as required Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate relevant office experience such as proficient typing skills, as this post requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
