We are a long established 2 Partner Training Practice based at Oaklands Medical Centre, Prudhoe.We have approximately 6,000 patients.Peer support is an essential component of enjoyable primary care. The ideal candidate will be able to work accurately and methodically, have good typing skills and a knowledge of medical terminology.The role may have room for expansion.Main duties of the jobTo be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the Practice Manager and Clinical team.Duties can include, but are not limited to, the processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers in accordance with current policies, including the use of the electronic referral service (ERS).About usWe are a friendly, well established surgery set in the beautiful Northumberland town of Prudhoe. The surgery is made up of 2 GP Partners, 2 salaried GPs and 1 full time GP registrar.The GP team are supported by:2 experienced practice nurses, 2 HCAsA highly skilled reception/administrative team, 2 secretaries (of which you would be 1), medicines manager and a practice manager.Job descriptionJob responsibilitiesPrimary key responsibilities:The following are the core responsibilities of the Medical Secretary.
