Job summaryAs a Team Leader for Neurosurgical Scrub and Support Teams ( which includes leadership of spinal , ENT and emergency theatre night teams you will need to be able to provide senior clinical leadership to support patient centred care, which is of a high standard. You will take responsibility for the quality management of their designated area, and provide senior departmental support.You will co-ordinate and facilitate the delivery of patient care within the Operating Theatres on a daily basis .You should be an expert and have extensive theatre scrub practice and will have overall responsibility for day-to-day management of your clinical area and for ensuring all care is delivered according to Trust policies and procedures maintaining associated records.You will manage, support and lead a team of practitioners in the deliveryof evidence based patient centred care, which is of a high standard. You will take responsibility for the planning and co-ordinating of activity for elective and non-elective patients across a variety of specialities and will manage staff including appraisal, rota's, recruitment and selection and the supervision of learners.You will provide specialist advice to patients, relatives and members of the multi-disciplinary team, utilising clinical audit, research, supervision of practice and teaching and monitor and improve standards of care by efficient and effective use of resources.Main duties of the jobSalford Royal NHS Foundation Trust is a large teaching hospital with approximately 850 in-patient beds, employing around 7,000 staff and serving a population of approximately 220,000.
