Job summaryThe Public Health Team at Swindon Borough Council is seeking to recruit two experienced and motivated Public Health Principals to provide expertise, innovation and public health leadership across Swindon.Our vision is to tackle inequalities and empower all people in Swindon to live longer, healthier, fulfilling lives, supported by thriving and connected communities. Our highly successful public health team works to improve and protect the health of Swindon residents, tackle health inequalities and protect the most vulnerable.Both roles will be expected to work across the domains of public health, and be prepared to step up to tackle emerging issues and opportunities. Join us, and Swindon will be better with you.Job descriptionJob responsibilitiesThe post holder will be responsible for leading the strategic direction across areas of designated responsibility and will provide an advanced specialist public health approach with minimal supervision to reflect both national and local priorities with the emphasis on prevention and reducing health inequalities. The public health principal may be expected to be able to work across any topic area covered under the domains of public health.
