We support research across a diverse range of clinical areas and deliver improved diagnostics, treatments and devices for patients in Manchester and beyondOur vision is to improve the health and quality of life of our diverse population by building an organisation that:Excels in quality, safety, patient experience, research, innovation and teachingAttracts, develops and retains great peopleIs recognized internationally as a leading healthcare providerWhat we're looking for?We're looking for a full time Band 6 Senior Clinical Research Nurse to support and deliver clinical research studies at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).If you are committed to providing high quality care to patients and helping them to make the right decisions about their treatment options, with the skills to guide and advise them throughout their research journey, this role could be for you.Interviews will be face to face only.Main duties of the jobYou will take a proactive approach in managing clinical research studies including developing study procedures and practice, gaining consent and approvals and recruiting patients, alongside clinical duties including providing the highest quality patient care and collecting and processing samples.You will be instrumental in implementing study objectives and will provide dedicated support to ensure that studies are delivered to time and target.You will be the main point of contact for study principal investigators, sponsors and patients and so effective communication and team working skills are essential. You will be involved in ensuring that research undertaken at MFT safeguards the well-being of patients and is undertaken within ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines.Prior clinical research nursing experience is not essential, but advantageous.We will also ensure that you have tailored, individual personal development plans with support for further training.
